本课程旨在培养学生运用英语进行口头表达与交际的能力。通过课程学习，学生应能掌握标准英语的语音和语调，并能适应常见英语变体的发音；掌握口头交际所需要的功能性语言，并逐步养成英语思维的习惯；使用口头交际策略进行语言沟通和跨文化交际；就特定话题进行自由表达和讨论，并具有较强的思辨能力。

知识目标: Expand students knowledge of the kind of native English expressions, vocabulary, pronunciation that would be hypothetically be useful if the students ever had to use English in their daily lives.
能力目标: The content of the course was related to pronunciation, speaking fluency, and the increasing of student's confidence in their abilities.
思政目标: Encourage self-study habits like reading, studying flashcards, listening to audio of native speakers and joining in university activities related to English.
